Located in the Finger Lakes region in Canandaigua, NY, the College is in an area known for its beautiful natural surroundings (including Canandaigua Lake), exquisite fall foliage, and local wineries. 1. Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing required. Candidates nearing completion of their Master's Degree may be considered. Recent relevant clinical experience and license to practice nursing in NYS required. Previous teaching experience in a nursing program, curriculum development, and accreditation work highly desirable.
2. Essential Functions:
A. Provide instruction to students, including team teaching Medical Surgical Nursing I & II (classroom and clinical components); or Medical Surgical Nursing II and Maternal/Child Health (classroom and clinical components) in an ACEN accredited Nursing Program.
B. Provide academic advisement through student meetings, evaluations and assessment of advisees' academic programs
C. Serve on college committees
D. Participate in curriculum development activities
E. Maintain office hours and be available to students as needed and as stated in the bargaining agreement
F. Participate in professional growth and development activities
G. Attend commencement and professional workshop days as defined by the college calendar
H. Perform appropriate other duties as requested by the Provost/Department Chair
