Key Responsibilities
This position physically support’s Customer locations (on-site) with our Chemical Management and Vendor Managed Inventory programs. Position will determine material requirements at customer site, by using information defined by customer and PRC. Physically verifies quantities on hand and available shelf life of material. Performs physical inventory of PRC designated stock locations. Rotates material as required to prevent stock-outs and expired material. Communicates material re-order requirements to Customer’s purchasing department and or places replacement order in customer’s computer system. Communicates re-order and or inputs re-order requirements with PRC Customer Service Department. Works with Customer to define possible packaging improvements i.e. size, container to help eliminate waste. Performs inventory receiving functions to assure material is available for customer production requirements. Communicates with customer regarding QC and HMM Document retention. Receives materials by manually unloading items or operating forklift to move materials. Effectively communicates between Customer and PRC-Desoto personnel. The ability to recognize opportunities for new business and assist in securing new business.
Experience and Education
Previous Purchasing, Material Handling and Customer Service experience preferred
Functional and Technical Skills
Must be computer literate and experienced with Microsoft products. Must be able to type a minimum of 45 WPM. Effective communication skill. 24/7 on call, depending on the customer’s needs. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position and be able to wear protective equipment.
