Program Overview:

Summer Intern Program Dates: May 31, 2017 – August 11, 2017

Working Hours:  40 hours/week, 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday – Friday

 

Position Summary

 

Bell Helicopter is seeking students for a 2017 Summer Internship interested in Customer Support and Services (CSS) Analytics.  Focus will be on developing and maintaining analysis to support strategic customer service initiatives.

 

 

Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Develop an understanding of Bell's worldwide customers, their businesses, and how they use our products and services.
  • Learn concepts of CSS international business strategy, including CSF distribution network and the Customer Advantage Plan for aftermarket spare parts sales and repairs
  • Create tools and analytical methods to expand understanding of the international aftermarket business:
    • what aircraft fly how much, where, and doing what mission?
    • what are Bell's most valuable revenue sources in aftermarket support?
    • how should Bell leverage the data from our internal systems to rapidly evaluate market trends?
    • what strategic initiatives should Bell invest in to improve asset availability to the customer?
    • what data systems and structures should be developed to most efficiently analyze the CSS business?
    •  how do we quantify risk in new sales opportunities?
  • Coordinate with Finance, IT, Sales & Marketing, and other departments to produce whole-business solutions that improve Bell's revenue and profitability
  • Contribute to the technical capability of the analytics teams by identifying one or more projects to automate the processing of data in order to produce a result used as a reference metric of CSS operations or as input to an analytical business case for new business development

Education Requirements:

  • Progressing towards bachelor degree in business, math, engineering, science, or software development
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum of 60 credit hours earned

Position Requirements:

  • Exposure to aircraft design and maintenance or the maintenance of other heavy machinery
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Exposure to analytical coding languages such as MATLAB, Python, or R.   
  • Drive for results, ambition, energy and perseverance
  • Collaborative skills and analytical skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis and regression methodologies
  • Employee must have general awareness of and give consideration to international business practices and regulations, with particular regard to pricing and trade policies
  • Experience with business systems like SAP, CRM, and Enovia is preferred
