Position Summary:

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Analyst                                
 
POSITION BRIEF:  

• Support commercial real estate brokerage transactions with geographic information (maps, aerials and demographic  reports) in a customer service environment
• Point of contact for GIS-related projects originating from local market
• Assist brokers on best GIS/research practices in industry & organize all projects into an efficient, time managed process to meet deadlines in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Research and collect data in a format that can be readily consumed by brokers, clients, and other GIS analysts
• Assist in market tour book creation as needed
• Work within a team setting / participate in team meetings / share knowledge
• Communicate & participate regularly with JLL GIS team & leadership  

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Create map, aerial and demographic report deliverables using the following:
  • Local GIS management in conjunction with JLL GIS Guidelines
  • Aerial imagery in conjunction with JLL GIS Guidelines
  • Demographic reports and analysis
  • Location Data Points
  • Psychographics
  • Local Market Knowledge Data (provided by local agencies)
    • Active and planned construction
    • Traffic counts
    • Property ownership/tax record & contact information
    • Zoning/Planning information
    • Commercial Real Estate transactions in market 
• Research, gather, and organize data to be implemented in GIS platform
• Actively participate in assigned projects provided by local brokers and clients in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Actively participate with JLL GIS team & leadership
• Participate in broker / client meetings when needed 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Geography or related bachelor’s degree
• Must have professional ESRI and/or MapInfo experience
• Solid working knowledge of Image Editing Applications (Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
• Solid working knowledge of Relational Database Systems and/or Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
• Solid working knowledge of Online Mapping Software/Applications (Google Earth, Bing Maps, etc.)
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Independent problem solver/analyst
• Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills 
• Must have ability to multi-task and participate within a team environment
• Must have ability to conduct extensive/exhaustive research via the internet and other channels 

The following skills are a plus:

• GIS product creation within Commercial Real Estate
• HTML / ASP / ASP.NET / XML / Visual Basic / Map Basic experience
• Information Technology Management experience
