This position is required to meet contracted CMV-22 vulnerability analyses and support government CMV-22 installation ballistic testing. This position is located at Bell Helicopter’s Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Generate computer vulnerability models of V-22 configurations from CATIA and drawings into BRL-CAD format.
Modify, analyze and configure BRL-CAD models and FMECA data for COVART vulnerability analysis tool versions 2.0, 4.0, and 6.0.
Model V-22 aircraft configuration and evaluate aircraft level vulnerable area KPP compliance for aircraft subsystem installation changes.
Coordinate with Bell engineers in structures, propulsion design, safety, systems engineering as well with Boeing engineering staff incorporation of Boeing responsibility components and design elements such as fuel systems and hydraulics.
All aspects of V-22 survivability, including ballistic testing, aircraft susceptibility analysis, and electronic warfare subsystem installation analysis.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – or equivalent discipline – is required.
Position Requirements:
At least 4 years directly related experience.
Computer model analysis, Test Plan and Report Writing, CAD capability are required.
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries (inter-Bell, Boeing and NAVAIR) are required skills for this position.
