Propulsion and Fluid Systems Engineer

Mechanical and/or Aerospace engineering opportunities are available in the development, integration, and testing of Aircraft Systems, including Propulsion, Fuel and Hydraulics. This position is located at Bell Helicopter’s Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.

The Propulsion Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Integration of propulsion systems into advanced rotorcraft platforms, including engine performance analysis, engine inlet and exhaust design and analysis, and fluid cooling design and analysis.
• System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
The Fuel Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Design and test fuel systems for advanced rotorcraft platforms, including integration of complex software and hardware and system performance analysis.
• System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
The Hydraulic Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Design and test of servo-hydraulic flight control actuators for fly-by-wire rotorcraft platforms.
• Design and test hydraulic systems for advanced rotorcraft platforms, including integration of complex software and hardware and system performance analysis.
• System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required. 
   Major in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.  
   Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics will be considered.
• Master’s Degree in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above is preferred.

Position Requirements:
• Opportunities are available at various experience levels which require at least 5 years aerospace or aircraft experience in the area of Propulsion, Hydraulic or Fuel Systems Engineering as described above.
• Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29 for commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft systems.
• Experience with Primary Development/Analysis Environments:
o Enovia PLM
o Catia V6
o Fluent CFD analysis
o Sinda Thermal analysis
