Located in Gainesville, Tx and reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for production activities for the plant and across all production areas. This is an afternoon/night shift from 6pm to 6:30 AM Monday through Thursday (Friday morning). The products manufactured are accomplished through established processes or procedures in accordance with time, quality and cost parameters.
In order to become successful, s/he will have to quickly learn the plant operation, process and products/technologies that are manufactured. A successful Production Supervisor ensures the production of a quality product and meeting production / customer specifications. A successful Production Supervisor will also be responsible for providing positive coaching, leading and mentorship to a team of X direct reports.
Additional Responsibilities

Plan and oversee work assignments, performance coaching / counseling and serving as a resource for wage associates.

Lead team meetings and facilitates continuous improvements initiatives that are aligned with plant goals and objectives. Initiatives have an emphasis on process, safety, quality, reduction of cost and substandard product loss (SSPL).

Minimum Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
At least five (5) years of production experience with at least three (3) as a supervisor or lead
-
At least three (3) years of powder coatings experience
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree

Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and lead teams

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization

Strong functional and technical knowledge in solving problems arising out of production or warehousing processes.

Strong ability to manage complexity
