Engineer II

Bell Helicopter - Fort Worth, Texas

The Engineer II is a multi-discipline engineer to support Bell Helicopter’s Flight Sciences Team. 

 

This position is based at Bell Helicopter's Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.

 

Position Responsibilities:

- Implement VMS (Vehicle Management Software) control law changes on an annual basis based on design improvement

- Implement Math Model Improvement Requests based on the working group priorities

- Address discrepancy reports from the trainer community

- Participate as an integral member of the math model working group

- Analyze CAFTA flight test data to determine use cases for model Proof of Match

- Conduct real-time simulator flight sessions to validate code updates

- Integrate blade element model and tune to available data

- Support performance calculations for product improvements and new programs like Improved Inlet Solution and Navy

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• Masters Degree is preferred. Additional higher education may be substituted in lieu of experience requirements.

 

Position Requirements:

  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.
  • At least 4 years associated experience.
  • Previous experience in GTR/Simulation and CAFTA is preferred.

  • Experience with Fortran Coding is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
