Electronic Warfare and Weapons Engineer

The Electronic Warfare (EW)/Electronic Attack(EA) and Weapons Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing the EW/EA and Weapons systems to meet program and customer defined requirements.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops EW/EA and weapons system level requirements and works with IPTs to coordinate aircraft level impacts and requirements.
  • Develops and maintains system level specifications for all systems, coordinates with Mission Equipment team for system integration, testing, and verification.
  • Develops weapons management system to meet program requirements for stores, safety, and performance.
  • Plans and performs test and verification activities including: functional, environmental qualification, environmental stress screening and production tests.
  • Works closely with IPTs to review evolving design and provide input into their decisions, providing.
  • Performs system level and aircraft level analysis to validate performance requirements.

Education Requirements:

-       -  Bachelor's Degree is required.  Major in Electrical Engineering is preferred.  Major Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering may be considered with significant experience.

-       -  Masters Degree is preferred

Position Requirements:

·         10 years experience in airborne EW/EA and weapons systems is preferred.

·         Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate and lead activities, prioritize tasks, and report status.

·         Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.

·         Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include; requirements develop and verification, preliminary and detailed design, MRP, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement and Maintenance processes is preferred.

·         PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

·         Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.

·         Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
