Survivability Engineer

Bell Helicopter - Fort Worth, Texas

The Survivability Engineer performs survivability analysis of Bell Helicopter aircraft. This position is located at Bell Helicopter’s Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform survivability analyses for next generation Bell Helicopter aircraft.
  • Coordinate with Bell Engineers and Technologists in other disciplines to gather the necessary data for analysis, and to fully understand the implications of the analysis and results.  Work through details of the analytical codes.
  • Analysis types and codes of interest include:   Vulnerability BRL-CAD/COVART/VTK, Radar Signature XPATCH, Radar Detection ALARM, Acoustic Signature PSU-WopWop, Acoustic Detection ICHIN, IR Signature analysis, Visual Detection, AAA Engagement, RPG Engagement, Radar SAM Engagement, Mission Analysis ATCOM.

Education Requirements:

-       Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required

-       Masters Degree is preferred.

Position Requirements:

-       This position requires at least 2 years demonstrated professional experience performing computational analysis. Specific experience with survivability codes is strongly preferred.

-       Candidate must have an aptitude for in-depth computational analysis. The successful candidate will also have a skill for making logical conclusions and recommendations from the detailed results.

-       Strong communication skills are required, especially those used for PowerPoint presentations to internal Bell and external government customers.
