Project Manager – H-1
 
The Project Manager – H-1 acts as the primary point of contact between all Bell Helicopter COEs, internal/external suppliers and the H-1 Program.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with production facilities and sites to identify process improvement opportunities, prioritize continuous improvement efforts, and ensure the timely delivery of components to the customer
  • Work with procurement to stabilize supplier processes as needed to deliver quality parts in a timely and efficient manner
  • Serve as program point of contact for both internal and external customers concerning manufacturability issues related to program specific parts
  • Provide technical support and guidance while ensuring that future engineering changes are producible
  • Work with Program Engineering to capture costs (E,L,&M) associated with proposed engineering changes
  • Attend and support Configuration Control Board meetings as required
  • Investigate validity of and act as primary approval of program specific OMTR requests
  • Interact with leadership team when requested in order to provide presentations and information on various projects
  • Assist H-1 Program Team with material/part allocation recommendations 
  • Will be required to act as control account manager (CAM) for various projects as required.

Education Requirements:

 

-       Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Aviation Maintenance Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering -  or 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment – is required.

 

Position Requirements:

  • 8 years related experience is preferred.
  • 4 years in an aircraft manufacturing/production/maintenance environment is required.
  • Hands on experience in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, maintenance and/or production is required.
  • Textron Six Sigma Certified (Greenbelt or Blackbelt) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Enovia, and CAMS is preferred.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
  • Prior US Military Aviation Production/Manufacturing experience is preferred
