Position Summary:

Ensure accomplishment of FC Mission:  On time, accurate receiving, put away, picking and fulfilling of customer orders.

 

Primary Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned within parameters of qualifications)

 

  • Oversee and develop management staff to understand and execute positive associate relations.
  • Develop associates’ skills, standards and morale
  • Ensure associates are properly trained and evaluated to encourage performance improvements
  • Ensure excellent communication and teamwork among staff
  • Establish and drive developmental programs for all associates to ensure our Staples Values are embedded in everything we do.
  • Create and execute exceptional IDP’s for entire staff followed up by clearly written performance appraisals and objectives.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Town Hall meetings with large groups of associates that encourage two way communication..
  • Outstanding project ownership and execution as well as challenging the process to ensure projects will deliver the expected results.
  • Manage all functional areas to ensure that proper receiving, storage and shipment of merchandise are completed efficiently and accurately for all customer orders.
  • Advise, manage and support strategic plans, policies, procedures and budgets for the operation.
  • Manage, evaluate and report on production, systems, quality assurance, transportation and performance as they relate to FC operations.
  • Develop and achieve performance goals and objectives
  • Meet budget, performance and accuracy goals
  • Prepare timely and thorough written reviews for all direct reports
  • Consistently administer Company policies
  • Complete all required reports accurately and on a timely basis
  • Ensure excellent communication and teamwork among staff
  • Create, manage and support recognition and communication programs
  • Represent the FC in a positive, professional manner

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience    
  • Five years of management / supervisory experience
  • Must be able to speak and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to read, write and understand technical reports and correspondence
  • Employee must be able to review, analyze, perform and develop written and/or oral instruction
  • Must have a high level of customer service skills to establish relationships with vendors and internal customers
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, efficient, punctual and detail oriented with a strong desire to lead and motivate people
  • Must have strong analytical and process improvement skills and be PC proficient

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree a plus
