Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
The Senior Business Consultant assists clients to determine their business issues and recommend solutions to drive business value. They use in-depth consulting skills and business knowledge aligned to business objectives, processes, measurements and tools to analyze their client’s business issues, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to determine appropriate solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Seeks prospective client opportunities and referrals by developing strong relationships with partners, current clients and industry associates.
- Responsible for development of accounts and new account consulting projects.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.
- Develops complex project plans coordinating resources.
CONSULTING
- Analyze a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements for real estate technology needs in a local to globalized environment.
- Advise the Client and the BRG Team regarding industry best practices as well as the capabilities of technology and the benefits of associated BRG services.
- Specific engagement tasks, which might include:
- Document the current state, support the identification of issues, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. Support the development of creative strategies to help our clients achieve business success.
- Develop short-term and long-term implementation strategies addressing a variety of client operational needs.
- Develop a wide array of client deliverables including, but not limited to, requirements documents, functional design documents, status reports, client presentations, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience implementing or consulting IWMS or real estate software solutions.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Industry Certification such as CoreNet MCR, BOMA or IFMA, preferred
- Education/Certification in a Business Process Improvement (BPI) methodology such as Six Sigma, preferred
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Functional and/or technical knowledge of at technologies that support the corporate real estate environment. (ex: TRIRIGA, IOffice, FMS, Maximo, ProLease, Corrigo)
- Proven track record of providing corporate real estate and facilities management IT platform advisory services, including strategy development, requirements development, vendor /solution evaluation, and implementation support.
- Knowledge to design and / or improvement of corporate real estate and facilities management business processes.
- Ability to create client presentations and deliver them effectively. Ability to develop new content for such presentations as well as modify existing ones.
- Delivering group presentations including detailed technical demonstrations, executive and end user training classes and conducting consultative planning sessions.
- Ability to work autonomously to drive tasks and revenue on accounts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational skills including proficiency with standard office suite and presentation software and cloud technologies.
TRAVEL
- Travel required (40-60%).
