Job Description
The candidate will lead all aspects of defining, developing and implementing architectures for autonomous guidance,
navigation and control of future vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) platforms. These architectures shall maximize
commonality across platforms and encompass a broad definition of autonomy including computer-assisted flight and
enhanced situational awareness for today’s pilots, optionally and remotely piloted systems, and fully autonomous flight
platforms. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the conceptualization and design oversight of a Systems
Integration Lab which will accommodate mathematical modeling and hardware and software bench testing for said
platforms.
The candidate will have demonstrated previous experience in multiple cycles of research, planning, design and
development of complex autonomous systems. In order to drive a comprehensive roadmap for the development of future
autonomous systems, the candidate will also be responsible for strategic advancement of business opportunities, team
staffing and talent, as well as the tools and processes for world-class execution.
This position is based in Fort Worth, TX but requires some travel.
Other Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Master's Degree is preferred
- Position Requirements: At least 15 years experience directly related experience
- Must have proven technical and project leadership experience leading multi-disciplinary hardware and software teams
through all stages of the product life-cycle.
- Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate across all
levels of management and with peers.
- Proven leader who motivates, inspires, and teaches others. Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance and direction to a team while prioritizing competing requirements.
