Aero Logistics Engineer

 

The Aero Logistics Engineer is accountable for the technical contributions necessary to develop and maintain affordable and supportable systems for Bell Helicopter’s Military Programs.
 
Position Responsibilities: 
1. Supporting the development of technical data products within the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
2. Weekly project updates to leadership for EVMS reporting
3. Review, assessment, and incorporation of approved engineering and customer directed changes
4. Performance to established quality, budget, and schedule requirements
5. Compliance with company policies and procedures
6. Understanding of Logistics data products
7. Comprehension and adherence to contract requirements
Reporting of weekly progress and/or variances to supervisor, Control Account Manager (CAM), or Cost Schedule Analyst (CSA)
 
Key relationships:
1. This position interacts directly with both internal and external customers to include:
            a. Engineering technical teams, both Bell Helicopter and USG
            b. Business Operations (Cost/Schedule Analysts and Integrated Program Schedulers)
            c. Bell Helicopter Logistics teams from other platforms/programs
            d. On-site Resident Integrated Logistics Support Detachment (RILSD) Marines
            e. USG Fleet Support Team (FST), Naval Aviation Supply (NAVSUP), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
            f. Bell Helicopter Contracts
            g. Logistics Program leadership
 
Outcomes:
1. On-time delivery of high quality Logistics data products as assigned by IPT Leadership that may include one or more of the following:
            a. Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
            b. Failure Mode Effects & Critical Analysis (FMECA) updates,
            c. Updates to provisioning records
            d. Task and Maintenance Plan Analysis
            e. Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) or Paper-based manual (task development or update) as applicable
            f. Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB)
            g. Identification of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) requirements
            h. Packaging Handling Storage &Transportation (PHS&T)
2. Input to project schedule development and weekly progress updates
3. Analysis and assessment of engineering or customer directed changes to Logistics Products

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma - or equivalent - is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in one or more of the Logistics disciplines to include:  3 years of aviation maintenance experience (military or civilian), or 3 years of supportability engineering, logistics support analysis, or technical publications development.
  • Candidate must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and be familiar with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Powerpoint as well as one or more of the following: SLICwave, EAGLE 2B, Arbortext or equivalent software. 
     
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Airframe & Powerplant license, FAA or FCC certification preferred.
