Sr Financial Analyst

Bell Helicopter - Fort Worth, Texas

The Sr Financial Analyst maintains contract budgets, provides analysis, investigates variances, develops LRE's and provides monthly CPR and subcontractor reporting on assigned contracts at Bell Helicopter’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX.
 
Position Requirements: 
  • Works closely with Bell Helicopter Program Controls, Program Management, Procurement, Subcontract Evaluation, Pricing, Accounting, Information Technology, Contracts, and other functional organizations as required.
  • Provides guidance and training to Financial Analysts.  Supports specialized financial analysis and develops specialized reports utilizing various Bell Helicopter computer information systems for department management as required.
  • Works across departmental lines to support the implementation of system enhancements to improve the accessibility, accuracy and reliability of information. 
     
  • Applies appropriate project management and scheduling techniques to assigned projects.
  • Uses data mining techniques and applies knowledge of Bell Helicopter Procurement, Pricing, Accounting and Computer Information Systems to enhance, extract and verify reporting information. 
  • Is responsible for both U.S. Government and Commercial contract performance and cost reporting to Earned Value Management System (EVMS) criteria.
  • Supports customer audits and reviews.

Education Requirements: 

 

-       Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admisinstration, Finance, Economics, Accounting - or related field – is required.

 

Position Requirements: 

 

- At least 6 years exprience in Finance and/or Accounting.

- Must have a minimum of 2 years direct experience in developing budgets, preparing variance analysis, estimates to complete, cost performance reports, and cost schedule status reports.

- Working knowledge of scheduling, program management and cost schedule integration techniques are required.

- Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office (Excel and Access required), SAP. Additional SQL Capabilities are preferred.

- Must be results driven with strong analytical and organizational skills

- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills are required.

- Must be a self-starter, able to work well in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

- Must have the ability to extract and prepare data analysis as required to support program reporting criteria. 

- Must have a working understanding of the guidelines of FAR.

- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management reporting with prior performance measurement and cost reporting experience preferred.

- Prior experience reporting government contracts in compliance with DOD guidelines is preferred.
