The Mgr, ILS, position serves as the primary interface and subject matter expert for all system sustainment strategy for the Bell candidate for the FVL solution, the V-280. This includes planning for all logistics support, maintenance concepts, training, and contracting approaches.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Employ standard logistics models to describe the relationship between availability, component reliability and cost per flight hour to communicate options to the customer for sustaining the V-280.
  • Liaison with Assembly Integration Team (AIT) to fully leverage digital thread capabilities in the creation of ILS capabilities for both training and maintenance.
  • Liaison with USG customers, as required, on ILS related issues for JMR and FVL.
  • Serve as a program focal point to USG customer on Affordability initiatives supporting FVL.
  • Serve as a program focal point for Maintainability, Cost, and Producibility synthesis for Affordability.
  • Ensure all spares planning is provisioned IAW Customer requirements.
  • Develop field team support concepts to support fielded aircraft as required by customers.
  • Technical Publication conceptual development and delivery IAW contractual requirements.
  • Ensure on-schedule delivery of support equipment to required specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure on-schedule performance of all support systems within released, time phased budgets.
  • Ensure all Support and Training plans meet contractual requirements and timing.
  • Provide tactical day-to-day execution of the Program ILS requirements.  
  • Provide input to development efforts to ensure appropriate ILS consideration throughout development cycle.
 

Education Requirements:

 

-       Bachelor's Degree - or equivalent experience - is required.

 

Position Requirements:

 

-       10 total years experience in military acquisition, requirements development, logistics, and/or supply management is preferred.

-       5 years of managerial/leadership experience involving maintenance or logistics is required.

-       Cost, Maintainability, and Producibility experience preferred.

-       The candidate must be a strong leader and a team builder.

-       The candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills. 

-       The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers, peers, employees, and executive leadership.
