Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
JLL is currently seeking college students to join our Occupancy Planning team for a summer internship. The interns will learn the industry through the lens of JLL’s substantial market share and client interaction. As part of the internship, JLL will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that each intern truly understands the commercial real estate experience following this experience. From an everyday perspective, the interns will contribute to (day to day responsibilities of compliance review, preparing move documents and verification of space data accuracy. 
 
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly-organized, able to work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, demonstrate clear communication skills, and be motivated to learn – with a deep passion for and interest in Commercial Real Estate as a career. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the occupancy planning (OP) team.
  • Assists with tracking and reporting of projected versus actual seat counts.
  • Provides geographic stacking diagrams by location, by building and by floor.
  • Reports the current supply and capacity, and forecasts inventory changes for a rolling three-year timeframe.
  • Maintains and secures business units’ agreement to geographic stacking plans.
  • Assists with the development of preliminary program requirements for each department (by building, if necessary).
  • Helps with migration plans and sequencing of group-level moves / relocations.
  • Works with local contacts on planning and space policies/standards, procedures and protocols, and notifies planning manager if they are not being followed.
  • Assists with forecasting order of magnitude scopes, schedules and budgets for project moves planned to occur based on stacking plans / strategy.
  • Support the occupancy planning (OP) team.
  • Participate in OP calls and meetings.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Current undergraduate or graduate level students in their junior or senior year with a major or concentration in Business, Facilities Management, Architecture, Real Estate, or a strong desire to work in the Commercial Real Estate industry
  • Rising juniors and seniors, preferred
  • Corporate and business experience
