Global Business Development Analyst

 

The Global Military Business Development (GMBD) Analyst will work with Bell Helicopter’s Business Development leadership team to execute a highly aggressive strategic plan expanding the departments military campaigns and customer base aligned with the company’s Strategic Business Objectives.  This position will report to the GMBD Manager in charge of Strategy and Operations, working closely with the Competitive Intelligence/Price to Win analyst and Capture Team Leads (CTL) further supporting military business individual campaign development.   This position will have the lead in supporting CTLs in the development of campaign objectives and the administration of multiple new business tools and processes as well as supporting capture and proposal management, GMBD annual budget and marketing collateral material. This position will also lead the development of building strategic plans to effectively conduct department and some capacity company-wide training, as well as researching, developing and participating in appropriate trade shows.
 
Position Responsibilities
 
In direct support of the GMBD Capture Team Leads, Business Development Directors (BDM), the VP of GMBD and other members of the business development team, this position will:
  1. Support day-to-day operations of Campaign Team Leads and Vice President of GMBD, to include building high-level briefings.
  2. Manage current GMBD processes and process improvements. Track and document changes to GMBD functional and business processes and address post-implementation issues and revision requests.
  3. Conduct organizational studies and work simplification studies to help streamline business processes.
  4. Identify and recommend procedures to improve performance with GMBD processes and coordinate with GMBD personnel to implement new processes and procedures.
  5. Act as the liaison between CTLs, internal and external stakeholders, and program managers across the organization supporting domestic and international campaigns participating in appropriate trade shows and compiling appropriate marketing materials.
  6. Accomplish tasks related to the execution of campaign pursuits, to include facilitating communications across the Military Business portfolio.
  7. Coordinate functional resources, technical experts, and engage high-potential individual contributors to enhance Bell market competitiveness.
  8. Facilitate technical, programmatic, pricing and configuration gate reviews, and business information management activities using GMBD internal processes.
  9. Support GMBD monthly/weekly business rhythms, monitoring campaign performance metrics/analysis and developing/reviewing required BD reports and briefs
  10. Compile data and input for internal Business Development briefings.
  11. Develop, load and manage all GMBD campaign related documentation via the GMBD SharePoint site.
  12. Coordinate and schedule GMBD semi-annual and annual business objective strategic level reviews with GMBD consultants and CTLs focused on company strategic business objectives working closely with the VP of GMBD.
  13. Develop the annual GMBD budget working closely with the military programs VP of Finance and or the designated finance representative.
  14. Gather budget planning data for all business development related activities.
  15. Determine BD budget status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  16. Monitor BD budget variances, identifying trends/issues, and recommending actions to VP of GMBD.
  17. Present budget data in a concise and organized manner to GMBD Directors to include the VP of GMBD.
  18. Manage budgets for tradeshows, marketing efforts, etc.
  19. Be responsible for all GMBD training including new hire orientation & on-boarding coordinating with internal and external agencies.
  20. Coordinate with communications and other internal agencies to plan and support customer visits established by CTLs or as directed.
  21. Be the SME on new Virtual Reality simulation initiatives and responsible for establishing a training program to train CTLs on VR usage and set-up. 

Education Requirements:

 

-  Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering -  or a related field – is required.

 

Position Requirements:

 

Opportunities are available in multiple labor grades based on proficiency, experience, and education. 

 

For Level III labor grade, requires minimum 5 years industry experience in finance, business analysis, marketing and sales, government acquisition, project management and/or business development. 

 

For Level II labor grade, requires minimum 2 years industry experience in finance, business analysis, marketing and sales, government acquisition, project management and/or business development

 

-        Demonstrated business acumen and customer engagement is preferred.

-        Prior experience as part of a project or cross-functional team is highly desired.

-        Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills are required. 

-        Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.

-        Must have demonstrated ability to build and deliver Power Point presentations to senior leaders / executives.

-        Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

-        Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, complex, and deadline-oriented environment.

-        Must be goal-oriented and highly self-motivated with the ability to manage different tasks and effectively balance priorities.

-        Must be a strategic thinker and planner, and must have good organizational skills.

-        Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
