The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for service, repair and overall maintenance of demonstration aircraft to verify that all assets are safe for flight. Aircraft range from single engine Bell 505 to twin engine Bell 412EPI. Additionally, the maintenance coordinator supports the day-to-day activities of asset management, import & export licensing for aircraft shipping, parts ordering, maintenance scheduling coordination and budget management as well as assists in demo event planning and execution when necessary; and performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Provide daily oversight of demo aircraft fleet, and give direction to Customer Service Engineer (CSE) teams (or Customer Service Facilities, CSF’s) to assure operational excellence; including scheduling, work order and productivity plans, as well as materials and parts availability.
• Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight.
• Properly perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in timely manner, working along or as part of a team
• Ensures compliance to all FAA / TC maintenance regulations and requirements.
• Oversees the scheduling of repairs and maintenance.
• Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Acts as advisor to team and department manager regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
• Interact daily with employee team members to provide support and planning.
• Update and monitor CAMP and/or other tracking software to maintain current logs of all demo aircraft, complete properly and in a timely fashion.
• Strive to improve management, employee, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop processes and documentation to support operational activities.
• Provide leadership in support of the department manager in overseeing operational performance.
• Take on a leadership role with Customer Service Engineers (CSE’s).
• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and properly care for the company equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• A&P license required
• 10 years of maintenance experience on Bell Helicopter aircraft
• Must be proficient using maintenance tracking software such as CAMP
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aviation maintenance field (Any Bell field maintenance courses a plus)
• Valid Driver License
• IA issued by the FAA is preferred
• Familiarity with airport /flight line equipment
• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of a flight line
• Ability to work on call from home with internet connection
• Ability to communicate professionally in English, both verbally and written
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Ability and availability for limited travel
Physical Demand:
While performing the duties of maintenance coordinator, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an flight line/ramp around aircraft. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.
Work Environment:
The primary work environment is similar to an office environment. However, the coordinator must be able to conduct business in outside weather conditions, near moving machinery parts; on an active flight line; near vehicles and aircraft.
