Key Responsibilities
 
Receives materials to site by manually unloading or operating a forklift to move pallets, drums or large shipping containers.  Accurately counts and verifies received material against Bill of Lading.  Calculates totals and extends weights, volumes; enters or scans appropriate data into MFG/PRO system.  Moves materials to warehouse area; follows instructions to place materials in location by codes and data.  Reads, interprets and accurately retrieves material from warehouse for production use from released work orders.  Delivers to assigned area for most effective use for the production process.  Reads and interprets instructions to retrieve, assemble and prepare products/materials for shipment.  Consistently achieves shipment of products, including hazardous materials without delays or returns.  Prepares required shipping labels, addresses, documents and certifications.  Uses appropriate shipping programs to move product to correct destination.  Moves to commercial carrier transport manually or by operation of forklift.  May be required to deliver product to the customer.  Complies with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times.  Performs other tasks as assigned.
 
Experience and Education
 
At least one year of directly applicable experience
 
 
 
Functional and Technical Skills
 
Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.  Must be able to read, interpret and complete required Shipping/Receiving/Warehousing documentation.  Must be able to operate site computerized system and perform required data entry.  Must be able to accurately perform required mathematical calculations typically required for shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions.  Must posses the knowledge and skills required to complete hazardous material shipping and handling on national and international carriers.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s certificate.  May be required to obtain and maintain the necessary driving licenses.  Must be able to perform required physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.  Must be able to use hand and power material equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.  Must be able to wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation
