The Sr Field Service Representative supports Bell Helicopter’s H-1 Helicopter Upgrade Program at Marine Corps Air Station - New River, NC. This position will serve as an extension to the FST and provides real-time logistics and engineering feedback to FST Cherry Point for H-1 aircraft issues that impact safety, component reliability, maintainability, and economy of operation, the correction of design or manufacturing processes, and fleet readiness and serves as a focal point to coordinate H-1 requirements between the Program Office / FST and BHTI. This position also provides support in the operation and maintenance of the aircraft, to include avionics, airframe, electrical, and drive train.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide on-site company representation and technical support to military customers and initiates corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.
Utilize technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance by investigating product problems, determining causes, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
Understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using supporting data and documents, provide technical on-the-job training, and act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical operational issues.
Develop excellent relationships across multiple organizations and with all levels of military customer and company personnel to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.
Prepare status reports to maintain optimal product performance at maximum cost efficiency for customers.
Travel with the squadron to off-site locations to include overseas if required.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma is required.
Associate’s Degree – or equivalent military/industry experience – is preferred.
Position Requirements:
4 years of extensive avionics maintenance experience with Bell H-1’s (AH-1W, UH-1Y, and AH-1Z) military aircraft is preferred.
This position requires experience and technical expertise on military aircraft products operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting with a strong preference in airframe structures or avionics systems.
Strong knowledge of H-1 aircraft systems and military aircraft maintenance procedures is required.
Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications is required.
Excellent oral and writing skills are required.
Candidate is required to obtain and hold a Secret level security clearance.
Experience using Bell Cost Avoidance Reporting (CAR’s) software I preferred.
FAA A&P license, FCC General Radio Telephone License - or equivalent military experience - preferred.
