Handling Qualities/Flight Controls Engineer
The Handling Qualities/Flight Controls Engineer is a multi-discipline engineer who will support product development of Bell Helicopter Advanced Tiltrotor Systems. This position is based at Bell Helicopter's Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop primary flight control and high level modes
• Development and analysis of control law inner and outer loop functions
• Linear and non-linear analysis of flight control systems
• 6 degree of freedom simulation and simulation development
• Interface with vehicle management and avionics teams using good communication and interpersonal skills
• Aircraft stability and control design and analysis
• Experience analyzing and reducing wind tunnel data for incorporation into simulation math model
• Flight test support and data analysis
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering - or similar discipline - is required.
• Masters Degree in Engineering is preferred.
Position Requirements:
• Experience in Handling Qualities and/or Flight Controls is required for this position.
• Must have the ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced Rotorcraft experience is preferred
