Commercial Territory Managers (CMT) are accountable for the development of profitable new Fleet and Light Industrial Coatings (LIC) business for the Automotive Refinish group. The CMT will work in partnership with assigned territory managers, utilizing existing and new Fleet/LIC distributors to accomplish growth objectives. Accountability management and overall supervision will be provided by the Refinish Regional Sales Manager. The CTM will spend 100% of his/her available time on Fleet and LIC sales growth and account maintenance.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Identify high potential markets for Fleet and LIC growth, and present distribution opportunities to new and existing jobbers.
- Manage the facility preparation and start up of new Fleet and LIC distributors. Prepare initial and ongoing business plans with these distributors. Develop pull through sales strategy with jobber and Refinish TM.
- Presentation of Fleet and LIC product and sales training modules as required to support the Refinish training group.
- Monitor market conditions and competitive activity in order to contribute to the development of Fleet and LIC marketing strategies. Assist Regional Manager in preparation of LIC/Fleet growth plans.
- Solicit direct sales opportunities as directed by the Regional Manager in the Regional growth plan, and develop national account specifications as they occur in the Region.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Business, Marketing or a technical discipline or the equivalent in experience.
- Paint and/or coatings experience
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in commercial territory management.
Required Skills:
- While in this position, the CTM II will continue specialized classroom and on the job training.
- Experience, performance and education will determine placement in, or advancement to CTM I and Senior CTM positions.
