Primary role will include managing the interface with industry analysts and performing a wide range of investigative studies to assess AT&T’s competitive position in key verticals of Finance, Health Care, Manufacturing, Retail and Public Sector (federal, state, local & education). Requires capabilities to not only analyze market trends compared to AT&T strategies, but also effectively persuade in both written and verbal communications and differentiation compared to other market players and dynamics. With competitive intelligence gained, the individual will provide insights to market share analysis, effectiveness of current marketing/sales programs and feasibility of new products. Provides research findings and works with marketing management to facilitate development of effective marketing plans and programs. Provides consultation to all levels of marketing on the identification of marketing opportunities, and aids in the assessment of departmental opportunities for improvements in marketing information.

Interfaces with all levels of the organization and effectively communicates with senior level industry analysts
Provides comprehensive analysis and marketing research to marketing and business planning
Accesses, verifies, and organizes market trends, competitive intelligence and sales data
Responsible for defining requirements for analysis and assessing potential business impact
Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts to recommendation formulation.
Projects or forecasts future market research needs and evaluates impact on strategic market planning objectives and strategies
Decisions have a profound impact on the total organization
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree is not required, but Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. MBA is a plus.
Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in market research or analyst relations. Experience in one or more of the following verticals is desired: Finance, Health Care, Manufacturing, Retail, and Public Sector.
Supervisory: No.
