Credit Risk Analyst

Position Summary:

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for analyzing portfolio risk of the Kohl's charge product. Developing and maintaining reporting to track portfolio performance. Ad-hoc analysis to enhance portfolio performance. Forecasting of risk components namely delinquencies and losses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Portfolio Risk Analysis

• Evaluate portfolio risk by monitoring metric trends.
• Evaluate and monitor the impact of proactive and reactive line changes.
• Evaluate and monitor the impact of overlimit authorizations.
• Evaluate and monitor the impact of collections strategies.

Performance Reporting

• Portfolio loss reporting - contractual and manual losses.
• Portfolio delinquency reporting - roll rates and lag rates.
• Forbearance program performance reporting - CCCS, Short and Long Term programs.
• Production reporting - collections metrics - contacts, reviews, reach etc.

Ad hoc Analysis

• What if/scenario analysis to assess loss impacts over different time frames e.g. quarterly, seasonally.
• What if/scenario analysis to assess delinquency impacts over different time frames e.g. quarterly, seasonally.
• What if/scenario analysis to assess revenue impacts over different time frames e.g. quarterly, seasonally.
• What if/scenario analysis to assess revenue and loss impacts over different time frames e.g. quarterly, seasonally based on different outstandings.

Forecasting

• Forecast losses - Contractual and Manual - Dollars and Units.
• Forecast delinquencies - Dollars and Units.
• Forecast outstandings - Dollars and Units.
• Forecast revenues - Interest and fees - Dollars and Units.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelors degree in Stastics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Computer Science
• Beginner/Intermediate level of SAS programming experience
• Knowledge of loss and delinquency forecasting methods
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• 1-2 years experience with data analysis

Preferred

• Prior credit card portfolio risk experience
• Experience with risk segmentation tools e.g. Triad, Probe etc.
• Experience in the financial service industry
